The SERIS Group joined the 9000 companies across the world that have embraced the United Nations Global Compact in 2017.
Driven by its commitment to act in a responsible and sustainable way, the SERIS Group voluntarily chose to assume its corporate social responsibility as part of a project that is very dear to it.
The development of our social corporate responsibility fits within the guidelines of the Global Compact and the ISO 26 000-standard and aims at promoting and continuously improving the three most important domains in terms of Sustainable Development: Economy, Environment, Social and Societal.
The values and principles of the United Nations Global Compact are in line with those that SERIS Group has been nurturing since its origin.
They enable us to integrate into our governance the fundamentals of societal responsibility, in line with the expectations of our stakeholders. Our policy includes the protection of the environment, the health and safety of our employees, respect for people without any discrimination, the fight against corruption and responsible purchasing.
Following this public commitment, Seris publishes an annual COP (Communication On Progress) that outlines the main actions taken to improve the integration of the principles into the strategy, culture and daily activities of the SERIS Group.
What is the Global Compact?
The Global Compact is an initiative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations that aims to encourage companies worldwide to commit themselves voluntarily to promoting sustainable development. Companies joining the Compact individually commit themselves to apply 10 fundamental principles concerning respect for human rights, international labour rights and protection of the environment.
